Rugged Radios RH-5R 5-Watt Dual Band (VHF/UHF) Handheld Radio
MSRP: $85 – Rugged Radios is not a new name in off-road. They’ve been in the radio game for over 20 years! The RH-5R is the most common handheld radio on the UTV market and the reasons are many. Based on a tried and proven 5R platform, the Rugged Radios RH-5R radio supports both UHF and VHF frequencies, broadcasts up to 5 watts and comes pre-programmed with the most commonly used frequencies saving you time and headache in programming. Communication almost always overlooked when buying a UTV; don’t make that mistake! Stay in touch with pair of Rugged Radios RH-5R hand held radios!
Sector Seven Accessory Mount
MSRP: $99.95 – Sector Seven by Pro Moto Billet made a splash over a year ago with their industry changing Spectrum Lighted Convex Mirrors. With that release they’ve continued to innovate and release high quality, best of breed, products. The Sector Seven Accessory Mount is the solution for just about ANY item that needs to be mounted on your UTV. The universal clamp allows you to mount around windows, wires or any other item that won’t allow the typical fully wrapped clamp. On top of function, it’s over engineered and built to withstand any abuse you throw at it. The accessory mount also includes a fully adjustable and angle-able platform to bolt any accessory from whips to light bars! If you want to really show your UTV enthusiast that you car about the quality of their experience, the Sector Seven Accessory Mount is the way to do it!
Axia Alloys Rechargeable LED Dome Light
MSRP: $49.95 – Axia Alloys has been a leader in the slim style accessory brackets for a long time. They have a full suite of light bar mounts, mirror mounts, fire extinguisher mounts and more. This year, they launched a new product to solve a simple problem; seeing in the dark. Cabin lights in a UTV are usually either custom made by a custom cage builder, are jimmy-rigged with camping store LED flashlights or by rock light conversions. Axia Alloys’ LED Dome Light is a nice solution for this for a number of reasons. First it’s a wireless, rechargeable, push-to-turn-on light. This means no wire runs, no holes in the cage, no zip ties etc. The slim Axia Alloys brackets are also a great solution for roofs or windows where they lay almost flush with the roll cage. This unit can be installed in any position of the UTV’s cage or other bar. If you’ve ever had to navigate at night by the light of your cell phone, the Axia Alloys Rechargeable LED Dome Light is the solution!
UTV Wolfpack Alpha Multi-Tool
MSRP: $27.99 – The UTV Wolfpack has been tearing up the UTV racing scene for years with the Merrell brothers pushing the limits of their machines. After finding parts lacking, they started manufacturing heavy duty race parts and accessories. One of those accessories that really help save time with our Pro Armor Force Steering Wheel Review as the UTV Wolf pack steering wheel puller. They’ve since updated that unit with the Alpha Multi-tool. This thing is a Polaris/Can-Am OEM steering wheel puller, clutch separator tool AND a bottle opener… So a tool to replace your OEM steering wheel, a clutch tool for when you’re tearing it up and blow the belt and a bottle opener for when you’re tearing out your belt’s strands from that clutch! No brainer!
RAM Tough-Claw Double Ball Mount GoPro Mount
MSRP: $49.99 – RAM has been the unsung hero for many accessory users. RAM is the defacto mount for so many professionals including law enforcement, airlines and now the off-road market! The RAM Tough-Claws are super durable gripping clamps that pair with the RAM arms and ball mounts. The RAM Tough-Claw Double Ball Mount with Universal Action Camera Adapter gives you that universal clamp, 4″ bar and a GoPro compatible mount. This combination allows you to clamp to any bar up-to 1.5″ and allow 360° adjustability. If your mounting points are larger than 1.5″ (ie: most OE cages), you’ll also want to buy a large Tough-Claw as well.
LLumen8 RGB LED Halo Light Kits
MSRP: $140 – If your special somebody likes to light their UTV up like a Christmas tree, help them out by giving the front of their rig a bit more personality! RGB LED Headlight Halo kits are an easy way to add more character and bling to any rig. LLumen8 has a great, affordable, option for both the Polaris RZR and Can-Am Mavericks. The kit is water proof and the LEDs are soldered to a PCB for a rigid, easy install. Simply stick them to a clean headlight housing and install the wiring. Light up your front end with LLumen8’s RGB LED Halo kits!
Spare UTV Drive Belts
MSRP: $100+ – Every CVT driven UTV owner knows, there’s one thing that you have to have… a spare belt! Do not discount the value of having the belt with you when you’re out on the trail, in the dunes or even at your local ORV park. A spare drive belt is the difference between a funny story of you getting towed back to camp and having a funny story about how you blew your belt doing something fun! We recommend OEM belts but aftermarket belts are also a great savings!
GripPro Lock & Ride Anchors
MSRP: $21.95 – If you own a Polaris RZR, Ace or Sportsman, the Polaris Lock & Ride system seems to be more of a sales gimmick than a real useful component… until you get yourself a set of tie-down anchors to go in them! These are a super affordable and useful upgrade to the bed of a RZR with Lock & Ride holes. Though there’s a number of these in various quantities, the standard RZR only has six holes, so a six-pack is the appropriate quantity. With these installed, you have six tie-ins that you can strap to or anchor to when on the trails. Simple, clean, easy and cheap… perfect!
Tusk Wheel Bearing Greaser Tool
MSRP: $14.99 – Maintenance is always a last thought but the most important. To improve the longevity of your wheel bearings, proper repetitive greasing before every few rides and after deep submersion is the best way to prevent dry and dirty bearings. There are a lot of options out there but the Tusk unit is one of the most affordable! Get a unit to save your unit!
GoPro Smart Remote for Hero Cameras
MSRP: $79.99 – If you’re constantly being tasked with getting out of the side-by-side to turn cameras on and off and on and off again… You’ll love this pick! The GoPro Smart Remote allows you to connect as many cameras as you want to your vehicle (or around your vehicle for that matter!) and synchronize the start and stop of the recording! If you were like us and thought the eighty dollar price tag was crazy, you’ll wish you spent it waaay sooner once you have one. The amount of time, hassle and frustration that goes into getting out of the harness, out of the vehicle, pushing the button on the GoPro, waiting for the beeps, getting back into the car and strapping in… it’s worth 10x the retail price! The remote comes with a velcro wrist strap and a proprietary charging cable (our only gripe). If we didn’t use this outside of our vehicles, we’d just permanently mount it to the steering wheel, it’s that useful!
