Rugged Radios RDH16-U 5-watt Handheld Digital/Analog Radio
MSPR: $195 – Rugged Radios has long been a leader in offroad communications. The newest addition to their handheld radio product set is the RDH-16V (VHF) and RDH-16U (UHF) handhelds. These radios offer both analog compatibility but also the newest in digital radio technology. This is actually the signal sent and received, not just that it has a digital interface. The digital encoders transform the old scratchy talkback with crystal clear communications at the push of a button (within range). Analog compatibility means that they are also backward compatible with previous model radios and other non-digital devices.
PowerTank Pro Series Tire Repair Kit
MSRP: $65.95 – Every UTV operator should know how to change a tire. They should also know how to, and be equiped to, plug a puntured tire on the trail. The full-featured tire plug kit from PowerTank has everything you need to repair your tire punctures on the trail including replacement valve stems! High quality materials, wrap and plenty of plugs along with useful accessories like preasure guage, pliars, extra plugs, etc. are all what make this kit universally a great buy for the holidays!
Streamlight Sidewinder Compact II Headlamp
MSRP: ~$80 – If you have ever been stuck on the side of the road using your cellphone as a flashlight, you know how silly it is to go out on an adventure without a headlamp. Frequently, camping or roadside repairs require you to use both hands in an underlit situation. The Streamlight headlamps bring tactically proven quality and features to the consumer along with some pretty sweet tricks up their sleeves. The Sidewinder Compact II headlamp allows for White, Red, Blue and IR illumination, variable brightness, flash modes for locating and even allows you to power it with multiple battery sizes within the same housing! Butler BDR Trail Maps
MSRP: $14.95 – The Butler Maps have been an indispensable item of motivation for our UTV drivers that want to conquer trails, go further, and push deeper into the vast trail systems our country has to offer. While originally meant for adventure bike riders, these have become an easy foundation to which we have built our own BDR routes off of. Butler has maps for most trail-friendly states and has multi-packs for those looking to really dive in and start planning their next adventure. UPR Heavy Duty GoPro Roll Bar Mount
MSRP: $79.95 – Everybody has an action camera these days, but getting well positioned shots on your UTV can prove to be difficult with cheap plastic cage mounts. The UPR GoPro mount utilizes a solid metal bracket comes in various diameter compatible models and includes a stainless steel ball mount for your GoPro or action camera. This lets you adjust the mount a few inches from the cage along with swiveling the camera to the perfect angle. The included steel leash makes sure that your camera stays connected if you break the GoPro mount off of the ball mount when darting through the trees. Factor55 FlatLink XTV
MSRP: $133 – When it comes to recovering a rig via winch, safety should be of the utmost concern. Once you put tension on that line, you are exponentiating the possibilities of harm to anybody involved with a failure within the maneuver. Factor55 has long been the standard in premium winching solutions for closed-system winching. The FlatLink simply replaces the hook on your winch and becomes a shackle point for any recovery efforts. This method of closed connection points creates a stronger, safer, winching scenario. The fact that all of their products are Made in the USA and look like jewelry doesn’t hurt either!
JetBoil Camp Cooking Systems
MSRP: $59.95-379.95 – Camp meals doesn’t have to be boring or cold. The JetBoil systems enable you to boil water in under 100 seconds, make multiple cups of coffee, reheat and hydrate freeze-dried meals, and more! Using high-performance propane/isobutane canisters to quickly bring things to a boil, the JetBoil includes a self-ignition switch and stabilization legs. The best part is that it all fits within the cooking vessel! JetBoil has also come out with larger, more capable, cookers that will allow you to cook a full meal and live like kings on the trail while reducing your pack out and load weight.
My Medic MyFAK First Aid Kit
MSRP: $120 – We can be aggressive drivers on-trail, but even with harnesses, helmets, goggles, outerwear, etc. you can run into injury scenarios that you can’t plan for. My Medic has a wide range of packages available for the weekend warrior at a great price. Additionally, they come in high-quality molle compatible bags that allow you to mount them in a wide variety of places and positions. The MyFAK kit comes with almost everything to handle most on-trail injuries and fits nicely into a small pack that can go anywhere on the machine including the glove box.
509 Kingpin Offroad Fuzion Goggles
MSRP: $79.95 – Whether or not you are on the “wearing” or “freedom” side of the helmet debate, nobody can argue the fact that goggles come in super handy when the roost gets real, rain starts to fall or sunglasses can’t do enough to shield your eyes from an epic day of riding. The Kingpin goggles are lightweight, slim profile, not bulky and best of all, the new Fuzion versions will not fog up with their single pane lens featuring a hydrophobic inner layer. We’ve ran these for years and they always seem to come in clutch!
Baja Designs Squadron Pro Series Lights
MSRP: $199.95 – Premium lighting is typically something the average man leaves to the Baja racers and the well-off. It shouldn’t be though. Having proper lighting on the trail, especially at high speed, is a safety issue more than an accessory! You don’t have to spend $1,000 on a lightbar to get amazing lighting though. The Baja Designs Squadron lights are an icon in the industry and for good reason: Superior build quality, lifetime warranty, color balanced output, swappable lenses, clear and amber options, spot/flood/combo options are among the top reasons you would want to buy these pods… and for a limited time, BD is offering a mail-in-rebate program!
Buggy Whips Increased Visibility Whips
MSRP: $250+ – Buggy Whips are already known to be the best whip in the industry. Best is different to everybody though and these are not RGBWXYZ123 whips that you might find elsewhere. Giant Loop Tillamook Dry Bags
MSRP: $130 – Storage on today’s UTVs has not really been a win for consumers. RZRs have a deep but narrow bed, X3s have a wide but shallow shelf, etc. Traditionally, adventurers rely on coolers and various hard cases to keep their stuff organized on the trails. We think you should check out dry bags as an alternative! They’re more mobile, adaptable, weatherproof, and all-around a useful means of storage on a SXS. Dmada Creative Trail Essentials Pouches
MSRP: $32 – Pouches? Why would you need a man-clutch? Well, honestly, these little bags are SUPER useful on the trail with a UTV. Time after time, we’ve found ourselves throwing nick-knacks into the glove box, or under the seat, just to get demolished or damaged by the rough terrain we ride. These bags organize and keep safe all of the little adapters, cables, tools, etc. that you might bring with you on your trip. Additionally, these make great clean bags for storage in your dry bags for overnight camping! Hand made in Idaho, these pouches were made from necessity and at this price point, you can’t argue with the value they bring to your next adventure!
SolderWeld All-In-One Offroad Repair Kit
MSRP: $118.99 – If you’re hard on your machine, you know that bringing the right tools with you means the difference between getting back to camp or a long hike back! Sometimes tools alone can’t fix things like a radiator puncture or broken bracket. SolderWeld’s kits are a low-temperature soldering kit for on-trail repairs. With both Aluminum and Steel variants, all you need is a propane or butane torch to weld with SolderWeld’s low temp alloy rods. The All-In-One Offroad kit includes both Aluminum rods and alloy rods along with flux for both and Hot Block, their heat protive gel. Garmin InReach Mini GPS Transceiver
MSRP: $349.95 – We’ve already said that communications change the game when you’re on-trail. What changes the game for your offroad adventures is being able to communicate to the outside world. The Garmin InReach Mini GPS transceiver can do multiple things including being a Bluetooth GPS, an SOS beacon, a satellite messenger, remote check-in for online monitoring of progress, and more! We’ve come to rely on these little guys more and more on the trail as we go further and deeper into the backcountry. We’ve had to message out for pre-mature trailering, parts acquisition, group separation, and more. These have become an essential tool for our overland trips and our families enjoy the peace of mind from being able to monitor our progress!
Dual SkyPro GPS Receiver
MSRP: $149.95 – If you’re like Big Z, having one device lock you into a single device, service or way of doing something doesn’t sit well. For GPS navigation, there’s always one thing that we don’t like about one system or another. Having a dedicated Bluetooth GPS allows you some flexibility in the device and, ultimately, the interface you choose to run on your adventure. We’ve teamed this GPS up with multiple cellphones and tablets without issue… at the same time because it can connect up to 5 devices at once! Why would you want that? Well, you can have a driver’s GPS device, a co-driver’s GPS device, each of your cellphones for when you walk away from the vehicle and still have one more connection open! With a refresh rate at 10 times a second and rated for 1,200mph, we’ve never outrun this GPS and our tracks are always super detailed and reliable!
